Jumeirah Burj Al Arab
All-suite luxury hotel on its own island, and Dubai's defining landmark
The editorial view
Why It Stands Out
Jumeirah Burj Al Arab stands 321 metres high on a man-made island 280 metres from Jumeirah Beach, its sail form drawn from the Arabian dhow. There are 198 duplex suites, two beach clubs, two temperature-controlled outdoor pools with 32 air-conditioned cabanas, and a spa with 14 treatment rooms.
An approximately 18-month restoration programme announced by Jumeirah in April 2026 is being led by French interior architect Tristan Auer. The project is intended to preserve the hotel's distinctive identity while enhancing its interiors for its next chapter.
